The Travel Buddy
Frank and I enjoy lots of things around here...good music, good friends, dogs...beer....and we enjoy mashing them all together whenever we get the chance. Right now I can't walk out my door without slipping on the ice and falling on my ass. And I am so. ready. for. spring. And friends. Covid can KMA, but I digress, we must be smart until we can be together safely again. Those days will come before we know it.
We'll be out camping in Wharton with our dogs and taking day hiking trips. We'll bring them to the breweries. We have an awesome one walking distance from the house 😎 called Brotherton Brewery right here in Atco. And let's not forget festivals...I know it's been a while but they'll come around again! My favorites are the Cranberry Festival in Chatsworth and the Country Living Fair in Batsto NJ, both fall events, and both dog friendly.
It's not always so easy though, to bring our dogs along with us. New rescues or younger dogs especially can be a handful and make the whole experience stressful, but even dogs we've had for years don't always know how to act out on the town. Been there, done that. I get it!
It doesn't have to be that way though. There are methods that make us our dogs most favorite thing! Not the hot dog that a kid dropped 20 feet away, us. There are also ways to teach our dogs to like hanging out with us and enjoying our company while we sit and enjoy a latte or a beer. It takes some work, but it doesn't have to be complicated. And best yet, that's what the Well Mannered Dog's purpose is. It's what I'm here for. Our mission is to help dogs develop fantastic relationships with their people, and enjoy going out together on adventures or spending time relaxing with some good food and drinks.
These programs are designed with this lifestyle in mind and include a bunch of ways to not only have a highly trained dog, but to offer you continued support and fun events long after the initial training is done! And that's my favorite part 🤩 this isn't a one and done class. There is the initial program, yes, but the whole goal with The Well Mannered Dog is to be able to provide you the support you need for the life of your dog. I want to get to know you and your dog, what your goals are big and small, and what your dream was when you decided to bring home a dog. And I can. not. wait.
