Dog Camp for Dogs in Mount Holly, NJ
(and beyond!)
Pack Hiking and Day Training
Dog Camp is a structured pack hiking, enrichment, and day training membership based in Mount Holly, NJ for social dogs who need more than a typical walk or daycare environment.
At its core, camp is about helping dogs live fuller lives.
The dogs that do best here are usually already friendly and fairly social. They don’t necessarily have major behavior problems, but they do have energy, busy brains, and owners who want to give them more than the average routine can realistically offer. More adventure. More enrichment. More structure. More fulfillment.
Can we all just agree that fitting all of that into normal life is basically impossible?
Between work, kids, errands, housework, trying to maintain a social life (ha!), and somehow still meeting your dog’s needs for exercise, training, play, and socialization… something usually gets pushed off for later.
But that’s where Dog Camp comes in.
Camp days are designed to give dogs the kind of experience most owners wish they had more time to provide themselves. Small groups of carefully matched dogs head out for structured hikes and real-world adventures where they get to explore, move, socialize appropriately, practice calm behavior, and just learn how to exist in the world a little more thoughtfully.
Some dogs hike off-leash. Others work on long lines. Some need more structure, some need more freedom, but the goal is always the same: creating dogs that are fulfilled, balanced, and easier to live with at home afterward.
And there’s training woven into all of it naturally.
We work on things like leash skills, engagement, settling around distractions, recall, emotional regulation, polite social behavior, and learning how to shift between excitement and calm. But it doesn’t feel like a formal training session the entire time. To the dogs, it mostly just feels like they’re out having a really good day.
Think of it like summer camp for dogs!
What Camp Looks Like …
Dog Camp includes
Small, carefully selected groups of compatible dogs
Structured hikes and adventure-style dog hiking outings
A mix of exercise, enrichment, socialization, and training
Pick-up and drop-off included
Real-world exposure in a calm, controlled way
Individual attention within the group setting
Most camp days last around 4-5 hours door to door, and dogs typically come home mentally fulfilled, physically satisfied, and much easier to live with afterward.
Many of our camp dogs come from Mount Holly, Medford, Marlton, Lumberton, and surrounding South Jersey areas.
A Different Kind of Daycare Alternative
Dog Camp is not:
A chaotic free-for-all daycare
Hours of nonstop overstimulation
Unstructured dog park style play
A replacement for foundational training when it’s truly needed
The goal isn’t just to tire your dog out. It’s to help them learn how to exist calmly and appropriately around other dogs and in real-world environments while still getting to enjoy being a dog.
For a lot of owners, Dog Camp ends up being a really nice middle ground between hiring a dog walker and sending their dog to daycare. Dogs still get socialization, adventure, and exercise, but with much more structure, guidance, and individual attention built into the experience.
Who Dog Camp Is For
Dog Camp is a great fit for dogs who:
Are social and generally appropriate around other dogs
Have energy to burn but struggle to settle at home afterward
Would benefit from more structure, enrichment, and adventure
Enjoy hikes, outings, and being active
Need more than a typical walk or daycare environment provides
Are ready for more freedom and real-world experience in a controlled setting
It’s especially popular with busy owners who want their dogs to have a genuinely fulfilling life, even when they don’t always have enough hours in the day to provide all of it themselves.
Membership Style Camp
Dog Camp is offered as a small-group membership with limited spots available each week. Most dogs attend on a consistent weekly schedule, which helps create stable groups, stronger social relationships, and better long-term results overall.
Because groups are intentionally small and carefully matched, availability is limited.
Not Quite Ready Yet?
Some dogs need a little more foundational work before joining a group environment, and that’s totally okay.
If your dog needs help building better leash skills, social neutrality, emotional regulation, or recall first, we can start with private training or a more immersive program and transition into camp later on when they’re ready.

Is your dog ready?
Camp candidates should…
Be generally well behaved. They don’t need to know obedience commands but camp may not be right for your dog if they do not get along well with others.
Ride well in the car. If your dog is not comfortable in the car, reach out! They may not be camp ready yet, but we can help work them through!
Camp may not be suitable for young puppies due to the physical demands on their growing bodies. Let's talk about options until they're big enough to join the fun!
